settings for Internet Explorer 4 & 5
(there might be some small differences between the versions of IE)
Configure your E-mail in Outlook Express
- Open Outlook Express
- Go to "Tools" (at the top of your screen: "File",
"Edit", ..., "Tools")
- In here, choose "Accounts"
- In "Accounts", choose the "Mail" tab
- Now, hit the "Add" button at the top-right side
of the window
- Choose: "Mail"
- Display name: Enter your name
(Next)
- E-mail address: Enter your e-mail address username@cura.net
(Next)
- Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server: Fill in popmail.cura.net
(Next)
- Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: Fill in mailhub.cura.net
(Next)
- Account name: Enter your username
(not username@cura.net !!)
- Password: Enter your password
(Optional. Remember: use lowercase, not UPPERCASE)
- Click on Finish
Make CuraNet your homepage
- Go to "My Computer" -> "Control Panel"
-> "Internet options"
- In "General", you see: "Home page".
- To make CuraNet your homepage, type:
http://www.cura.net
- Hit the "OK" button to finish
Add your CuraNet newsgroups in Outlook
Express
- Open Outlook Express
- Go to "Tools" (at the top of your screen: "File",
"Edit", ..., "Tools")
- In here, choose "Accounts"
- In "Accounts", choose the "News" tab
- Now, hit the "Add" button at the top-right side
of the window
- Choose: "News" and click on the folder outlook expres
you see (Set up a newsgroup account) Click on it in will start
a wizard fill in those things
- Display name: Enter your name
(Next)
- E-mail address:Your e-mail address
(Next)
- News (NNTP) server: Fill in news.cura.net
(Next)
- Click on Finish
