YASMIN AND ABU
Yasmin and Abu came to the shelter with Yago, another sibling and their mother. Fortunately the mother was taken home again after she was sterilized. During the first weeks the three kittens were very nervous and they missed their mother terribly. They have now adapted themselves and have become lively, playful and affectionate kittens. They are four months old now and the whole day long they play their typical kitten games and run behind each other through the cats’ cage. They also like to play with a feather or playmouse connected to a rod. Please give these sweeties a good home!

Knabbel and Babbel
Knabbel and Babbel are brothers. Their mother has a beautiful dark grey coat and you can see this colour shining over the black coat and plume tail of these siblings. Babbel is completely black but Knabbel has a white spot on his chest. They are sweet, affectionate boys who like to climb on your lap, purring contently whilst drawing their claws out and into your skin, proof that they’re having a good time! The brothers have been in the shelter for quite some time now and really need go home with someone of their own who is ready to receive all that love.

mickey
Mickey was a stray, brought to the shelter but never retrieved by her owner. Mickey likes to be on her own, she prefers to have her food served for her alone and does not like to share a dish with other cats in the cage. She likes to take her nap alone, outside in the sun and obviously enjoys this. She appreciates contact with humans and enjoys being petted. However, as soon another cat arrives she withdraws and for this reason Mickey would be much happier with an owner she does not have to share with other cats.

nino
When you enter the cats’ cage you cannot miss Nino! Mewing loudly he comes to beg for a stroke on his head or to climb onto your lap to purr. Nino is a typical Curaçao tomcat: high on his legs, slim and slender, a lot smaller then cats from e.g. the Netherlands. If you are looking for an affectionate, sweet lap-cat than Nino is the right choice for you!

YAGO
Yago is a white and gray male brought to the shelter together with his sisters as the owner could not take care of so many kittens. Yago is now about 4 months old. He is very active and playful and loves attention from humans. He enjoys playing with other cats and is very popular with the volunteers. It would be perfect if Yago could be adopted together with another kitten or find a home with other cats where he can play his typical kitten games.

Jessie
Jessie was brought to the shelter together with her siblings when they were at an age when they were really too young to be parted from their mother. A volunteer took them home to give them the extra care that they needed and the litter grew into lovely kittens. They were all adopted and only Jessie has yet to find an owner. It was decided to nominate her as a shelter pet and she was released from the cats’ cage. She now moves happily around on the shelter premises with the other pets, Pipo and Chico and they have become the best of friends.

kittens
When taking a kitten home, people often forget the fact that their sweet little creature can become a mother as early as six months.  This leads, in rapid time, to the emergence of a cute bunch of kittens.  However, these kittens are often unsuitably re-homed, and the females from the litter are themselves ready to reproduce 6 months later.  An adult cat can produce a litter four times a year. Kittens are admitted to the shelter on an almost daily basis and we desperately try to find a place for them. Please help! Have your pet spayed or neutered as soon it is five months old, and for those of you with the time, space and commitment to offer the full spectrum of care to a cat, please come and see our kittens!
