Skies over Curaçao on Monday started mostly cloudy but became partly cloudy later in the day. A couple of rain and thundershowers developed over our region and some of these moved over a few sections of our island. Dry conditions however continued to prevail and persist.
A disturbance was located Monday over the central Caribbean Area and was moving slowly away toward the west. It will continue to generate a few areas of cloudiness but most of these clouds will be of the high and dry variety. These clouds won't produce any rain. A couple of lower level clouds however could become locally dense enough to generate a couple of showers over our region. Some of this activity will move over sections of our island and there continues to exist a risk of thunder in some better developed clouds. Dry weather however will continue to prevail. Weather conditions should be generally dry on Wednesday as well, although a shower or two may still occur on that day as well. A better chance of showers exists during the second half of the week. Our winds will continue to be light to gentle during most of this week as well. That will continue to lead to rather muggy conditions.
